"NIOS Board Review – A Student’s Honest Experience I am a student of NIOS, and honestly, my experience with this board has been extremely disappointing and stressful. NIOS claims to support students who could not continue regular schooling, but in reality, the system feels more focused on collecting money than actually helping learners. First of all, the fees are unreasonably high. For every small thing, there is a separate fee — TOC fee, late fee, subject addition fee, on-demand exam fee, correction fee. Even genuine mistakes or lack of guidance lead to extra payments. It feels like students are being treated as a source of money rather than learners. Secondly, there is no proper guidance or facilities. The website is confusing, instructions are unclear, and there is no single place where the full process is explained step by step. Students are left to guess what to do next. Important information is either hidden or poorly communicated. If someone is new to NIOS, it is very easy to make mistakes that later cost money. Third, the examination system is extremely confusing. Public exam, On Demand Exam (ODE), TOC, subject addition — nothing is explained clearly. There is no proper support to help students understand which form to fill, when to fill it, or what fees are actually required. Because of this confusion, students lose months or even years. Fourth, academic support is almost non-existent. Teachers or study centres provide very little help. Doubt-clearing, guidance, or mentoring is practically missing. A student who genuinely wants to study and pass feels lost in the system. Lastly, the so-called positive reviews seem unrealistic. Many students I know are frustrated, confused, and financially burdened. The reality on the ground is very different from what is shown officially. NIOS urgently needs to: - Reduce unnecessary fees - Provide clear, step-by-step guidance - Improve student support and communication - Make the system student-friendly, not money-oriented Education should empower students, not mentally exhaust them. I hope NIOS takes genuine feedback seriously and improves its system for future learners."

"Ammm, i find NIOS to be similar to any another "sarkari sansthas". Because they issued a helpline (TOLL FREE) number, for if you ever have a query to ask, and It's a very philanthropic thing. But here's a catch, just like others IT'S NOT MEANT TO BE ANSWERED, and incase on a good day if after holding for 8-10 minutes, you got any luck to have operator on the other side, YOU WILL LIKELY BE FRUSTRATED by their lack of knowledge, uneasiness, incomprehensible solutions, and UNPROFESSIONALISM. Another one thing that I'm suffering is no syllabus given for ODE. It is a well known program offered by them, but hello, since it's under "sarkari babu log", there isn't any readily available information regarding its courses' theories and practicals syllabi on their website. It's just Wow!! Doesn't it seems that NIOS's website and customer support need an improvement? But there will be none, u know why? Yes u got it right, it's because, of "SARKARI BABU LOG" Btw fyi NIOS headquarter is closed on Saturday and Sunday... Map pe bhi maloom chal skta tha pr, Dilli se udhar pohoch kr hi ye mereko maloom pada 😅"

"Good for student who didnot stdy with regular class...for some reson some family problem..You can fill form in two ways for april may or for oct nov. you can apply for dled teacher training. You can aoply for Ba bcom and graducation level too. you result is provide 6 month after Exam..You can simply visit their site or get more information."
